The Broken System of Greedy, Lazy Artists in Music

I’m tired of dealing with so-called "artists" who put in minimal effort, deliver a sub-par song, and then expect me to:
✅ Pay them upfront (before the work is even good)
✅ Fund their marketing & promotion (because they don’t want to invest in themselves)
✅ Pay them AGAIN (royalties, splits, and endless handouts)
Meanwhile, they bring no fanbase, no work ethic, and no real value to the table.
The Reality Check
The music industry is already oversaturated. If you’re an artist who isn’t willing to:
- Hone your craft (your music has to actually be GOOD)
- Build your own audience (stop expecting others to do it for you)
- Invest in yourself first (why should anyone believe in you if you don’t?)
…then why should anyone else invest in you?
A Message to REAL Artists
If you’re serious about your career, here’s what you should do instead:
1. Make undeniable music – If it’s not at a professional level, keep working.
2. Build your own buzz – Grow your fanbase organically before asking for money.
3. Bring value to the table – Labels, producers, and investors work with artists who already have momentum.
Final Thought
The music industry rewards hustle, talent, and professionalism, not entitlement. If you want people to invest in you, be worth investing in.
